Advisory Groups

We are currently undergoing a nomination and selection process to establish Advisory Groups for the Challenge. We expect these to be operational later in 2016.

Māori Advisory Group

The Māori Advisory Group’s role will be to provide advice to the Challenge on implementation of Vision Mātauranga and wider cultural matters including intellectual property issues where relevant to Māori as specified in the Intellectual Property Management Plan.  It will advise the Director, Governance Group and Science Leadership Team on events in Te Ao Māori that may affect the Challenge.  The Māori Advisory Group may also facilitate engagement with Māori stakeholders and support consultation between the Challenge and Māori interests.

End-User Advisory Group

The End-User Advisory Group will provide advice to the Director, Governance Group and Science Leadership Team to ensure sectors and agencies with an interest in natural hazards resilience are understood and able to influence the research priorities of the Challenge.  The End-User Advisory Group may facilitate engagement with a stakeholder network of agencies operating in relevant sectors.

International Science Advisory Group

The International Science Advisory Group will provide advice to the Director, Governance Group and Science Leadership Team to provide inputs on science quality control of proposed research and insights into new international science advances across the broad field of natural hazards resilience that may influence the research priorities of the Challenge.
